Pros

Directors tend to make enough money to retire after 4-5 years of work.

Cons

There are serious pay inequities seen in both headquarter locations and field offices, both in terms of paying women less for the same work as well as a major disparity between local and international staff. I have seen consultants paid more for an hours' worth of work than an entire office of local staff. This was raised a number of times but Directors seemed to always excuse the behaviour. Directors are hardly ever held accountable, blame is often misplaced on staff.
