Pros

Small company which allows for close access across all levels of the company

Cons

Entire departments are quitting due to poor management after company was purchased. The entire IT group left and the entire GIS department left within a couple months and took many of the companies clients with them. Many key folks in building and safety have left as well. Promotions and raises are never given and new management does not support staff and people are jumping ship.

Pros

Very laid-back company culture. Flexible working schedule. Relaxed culture and office climate.

Cons

The company's overlord--Safebuilt--does minimal to support Interwest employees. Do not expect raises. After three years of employment with this company and multiple reports of success in my performance, I had not received a single cent more in pay from when I first started. Despite the poor economy and increased cost of living, no raise. Multiple other employees report the same, including my supervisor. The reason I was always given was the same: Safebuilt wants to sell Interwest Consuting and therefore has frozen any increases in raises for all employees to make their financials "more appealing" for the sale.
