Pros

Vacation and Benefit packages (although taking time off hurts you more than helps and there is no time for routine dr visits), Some employees are great to work with.

Cons

- Sr. Management is out of touch with their employees and does not properly support their needs (workload, support staff, training). - The belief here is more about band-aids to quickly hide a problem vs. investing in proper solutions - Payscale seems way off. No consistency based on level, experience, etc. The money is for the people that scream the loudest. - People are promoted to manager without the proper experience or training - mostly based on convenience. In sharp contrast, some are kept in the same role/level for years without growth.

Pros

You learn a lot about the pharmaceutical world very quickly. Thrown into work fast, which promotes learning. Deal with all kinds of people, from highly regarded doctors to the restaurants where you are booking events. They do some nice office events.

Cons

If the company looses business, there are almost always lay-offs, as opposed to working to shift work load around, in order to keep employees. No real motivation to be promoted, since they often do not give salary increases with promotions.
