Pros

Supervisors are mostly supportive You're able to work from home You're able to pick and choose when you work, with no pressure to work

Cons

Constant abuse from members of the public; being hung up on all the time Very boring work, you're just making calls and reading off a script all day The surveys are extremely long and participants get bored quickly No real progression opportunities Pressure to hit targets You're not paid much more than minimum wage (£12.25/hr) I liked Ipsos at the beginning as the flexibility appealed to me. However, I ended up going off with stress and haven't worked in a while due to the constant abuse. We're considered nuisance callers and I can understand why the public are frustrated, but so many people don't have the decency to just say "sorry, not interested mate" and start hurling abuse instead.
