Pros
Good exposure, rubbing elbows with the rich (or so it seems), committing to high quality work, maintaining strict service standards, working with high end luxury products.
Cons
- Before you even apply, you need an extreme level of tolerance just to survive in this role. - Patience, resilience, and constant understanding are required because you deal with people on a completely different and often exhausting level. - Flexibility, adaptability, and self motivation are treated as the only measure of success, and falling short means you do not last. - The training is intense and overwhelming, not simple onboarding, with constant pressure to master every product in detail. - You need a perfect memory and fast recall, or you fail and are pushed out before you can even start properly. - Even after passing, the reality of the job is far more toxic and draining than expected. - The work environment becomes extremely exhausting and emotionally damaging once you are in it.
