Pros

Good benefits including paid holidays and vacation time. Sales team is very knowledgeable of their products and willing to help out others.

Cons

Company changes their compensation more often than I change my underwear. Each year was a roller coaster ride , because the company cannot effectively manage revenues. Sales managers are paid 100k+ , but truly do not motivate sales reps. The sales managers are overpaid administrative assistants that process proposals , contracts and weekly paperwork. I kid you not , the ratio of sales reps to sales managers / trainer is almost even. At one point this company had two accountants getting paid 250k+ in income ; however they were pleading with sales reps that they were not profitable ! Company cannot forecast sales revenues at all - 401k was shut off several times during my tenure , because we'd have good Q1 sales #'s , but then hire unnecessary sales reps and other employees. The long term vision of this company is very blurry- I don't believe they have an executive in this company that truly understands online marketing. Jameson Publishing is living in 1988 , in which print magazines were the #1 media. Wake up !

Pros

I have been employed by this company full time for more than 10 years. The biggest cons that people seem to have no longer exist. Changes have been made in recent years to alleviate the concerns of employees. The company now has flex time. Core hours are 9 to 3 but employees can decide the other hours. I go in at 7 and leave at 4. Others come in at 9 and work til 6. And you can take lunch any time between 11 and 2. The dress code is now casual every day of the week. Jeans and t-shirts are perfectly acceptable. Anything that is not in poor taste. If you have an emergency situation and need to work from home that is also perfectly acceptable. Our high standards in the people we hire has not changed. That's why people enjoy working here. If someone has not worked for the company in the last few years, their opinions are old and outdated.

Cons

There is still an extensive hiring process. That is done to make sure you are the right fit for Jameson, and that Jameson is the right fit for you.
