Pros
The minimum wage staff are lovely and hardworking, there are so many unique cultures all in one place so you can learn so much outside of the European centric mindset you might have.
Cons
I really couldn't even tell you where to start on this, but I can say that the higher management is nasty, spiteful, and toxic. If you are not Japanese and in a position lower than middle management you /will/ be treated like dirt, your hours will be bottom priority even if they end up being much lower than your contracted hours. The company is a machine that is oiled with the blood of it's worked and oh boy will you bleed, the work is back breaking and long, it's tiring to be stood on your feet all day and the management will still look down their nose at you. We also had a case of a man sexually harassing women, he has multiple victims (probably every woman in my department at least!) he made horrid comments on girls younger than his daughter and seemed to be unable to look higher than your face for more than five minutes, despite many complaints nothing was done. Indecent images were also sent to other staff members by another worker and nothing was done. The customers will also treat you badly, I was left crying while being berated for not serving dim sum (despite being a Japanese place.....) while managers looked on in indifference. Told not to smile at my other coworkers since it was bad for business Was refused water while on shift since "it wasn't summer so why do you need it"
