Cons
-Everyone here is overworked and stressed. if you come here under one job title expect to really be taking on 2-3 other positions too. I'm honestly floored no one has had a nervous breakdown. They have about a team of 14-15 doing enough work designed for a company of 40. No one seems happy...and many of the employees do not see themselves staying here for more than 2 years. Don't even get me started on the turnover rate. They expect want cristal on a PBR budget. -"Management" here is awful. A good 95% of the employees have some sort of 1st world drama at any given time, that they make everyone's business through melodramatic arguments/discussions in the office. In addition to this since everyone is best buddies they frequently talk about work outside of work and things that shouldn't be discussed AT work...in the office. During my time here I heard a former employee get called a "r----d" on numerous occasions. Curse words were frequently used in the office as well. I get that things get frustrating, but keep that nonsense behind close doors. No one wants to hear about how drunk you got yesterday. -Nothing is ever good enough. Ever. Period. Even if you produce successful work with results to prove it...chances are you'll get a head nod followed by a "what else?" -No one will hold your hand or even assist you in getting certain tasks done. And if you do ask for help expect to get the runaround. EVEN if someone knows the answer they'll play the 'oh ask _____' game because they're "busy". -If you don't keep up you're gone. -The makeup itself and tools are fantastic, but for a company that has been around for over 30 years...you would expect them to have more to show for this. 9 out of 10 people have never heard of Japonesque. -For being in Northern California (the hub of innovation) they're incredibly dated. From their product packaging to their work from home policies. Plus they print out EVERYTHING. Apparently these people haven't heard of a little thing called 'google drives'. -If you love drama, constant screaming, being stressed out, wasting paper, having your intelligence questioned, and getting judgmental looks on a daily basis then this is the perfect company for you!
