Pros

Working at the JAA has many benefits starting with the staff everyone works together from security staff to the CEO to insure patient care is number one. Benefit package can not be beat by any organization out there. Health care PTO and incentives are unbeatable.

Cons

There are cons to working for the JAA and they start with the Human Resources Dept. employee retention does not seem to be a matter of importance. Upper management defers promotions, salary and employment to the HR dept. In my 9 years with the JAA I have witnessed HR deny promotion and salary increase when management has (COO, CFO and directors) have rallied only to be shut down. Again, employee retention does not appear to be of importance.

I'm glad to hear your were pleased with our high standards of patient care and employee benefits. We are proud of the care we provide and our excellent benefits package. Unfortunately, Human Resources does not control promotions and salary increases. I'm sorry you were under that impression, but we are not the final say in those situations. However, we do have a high number of staff who have been promoted within the company, so I can assure you this occurs frequently. Employee retention is extremely important to us, which is why such a significant amount our staff has over 10 years of service. We are dedicated to our staff and residents. Thank you for your service at the JAA and I wish you the best of luck in your professional endeavors.
