Pros
Pay is decent compared to similar jobs, because of the high tip-out (depending on location and day of the week). Able to pay into a benefit system once you've been there for long enough.
Cons
Some of the worst management I've ever encountered. The owner is a very rich man who doesn't care about his employees' well-being or safety, is a right-wing scrooge lacking in basic empathy for other human beings. Turnover is ridiculously high because management would rather fire people for little to no reason instead of resolve issues or have conversations with their employees. An extremely toxic work environment. Management goes out of their way to hire LGBTQ employees because it's profitable to have them as public-facing baristas, but makes 0 effort to make the environment queer-friendly, and the owner is an ultra-conservative edgelord who hates poor & marginalized people.
