Pros

Working with a robust sales team, talented designers and programmers, and in the mobile space is interesting. Interacting with players and real Americans is really cool. Occasional company parties are fun.

Cons

Not really a start up, it's been around for many years, and has all the negatives of a startup (bad work life balance, lots of crunch, poor organization) and all the negatives of a corporate, large company (very strict office hours, strict vacation time, top down management structure). They'll use anything to excuse the bad work environment. Usually "we're growing" and/or "we're a startup" if you try to bring up any issues, instead of listening to the employees. They seem to fire people without any warning or reason. No room for growth, even people that were there for years got paltry raises. Terrible communication between employees and management. HR is almost non-existent and hard to get a hold of. Top-down structure. Also not really a games studio. The one "game" they make is a pretty lame scratch-off / lottery app. They expect everyone to put in a lot of overtime, esp the engineers.

Pros

I love that I have autonomy to just get the job done. The Co-Founders have tremendous experience in the space and provide the right level of strategic and hands-on guidance. Fantastic group of people on the team--they have a culture of transparency, no ego, smart people, just get it done mentality.

Cons

It's a late stage start up, so not a lifestyle job. People who thrive here are very smart and work hard, but not unreasonably hard. This is not a job for someone who wants 9-5.

Pros

- Opportunity: If you're new to mobile there's a LOT you can work on here. It can feel daunting but I wanted to dive in head first and have been able to work on multiple initiatives within (and outside) of my team. - Team Size: The small team sizes mean that you get a lot of exposure to every business unit. - Ambitious: As a company they are extremely ambitious, which translates to you getting to experiment with new tech and new platforms. - Heart: Everyone in the company, and the founders, have a lot of heart and are extremely understanding to your personal circumstances. Often letting you make unique working situations based on your life needs. - Fun: Its fun! It's a lot of work, but I have fun interacting with my team and learning new things.

Cons

- Oversight: The founders are heavily involved in the business and can sometimes micro manage projects. This can be stressful to the teams involved. - Jumping Priorities: They are starting to stabilize, and build a more concrete roadmap, but the priorities can often change week to week. This is exciting but can also be distracting.
