Pros

The workplace is one possible reason for a person to stay for more than 2 years. You are either always around friendly colleagues who will cheer you up (because the management give plenty of reasons for you to feel down), or you are fixed on getting profit sharing, maybe both. Professional Service (PS) a.k.a Software Tester a.k.a Business Analysis will always be the group of favorites as COO think that they are special people who can organize and deliver the project, handle customer, help in bringing in money. Whereas a developer is just a person who can read code because good programmer will be able to understand all logic by reading the existing code. Concept of documentation does not exist. So, if you feel that you have no talent in writing a single line of code after study IT course in your university (or maybe marketing/ economic/ math/ science) but still want to stick with IT industry for some reason (like don't want to waste your degree), you can always come and try your luck in Juris. Talent in programming is a bonus, not a necessity. They hired people that have Good English, just make sure you speak Good English. You can try to do your internship here, they have good internship allowance, maybe the highest allowance between others internship company. They will also make sure they squeeze every ringgit worth of work from you, because they are paying you. For software developer, a single good thing in this company is that you are not required to do all the coding. The PS will do the simple simple code, which is like generating report, some simple table just to create, update, remove and display (CRUD) with a framework called PhpLens (great product from CTO, used only in Juris), which allows PS do those sipmle task themselves. There are really a few PS that can generate a complex report just by themselves without developer write a single line of code. Maybe just 5 to 7 in the whole company, and they are leaving too. You will still required to be working long hours, because, you need to read and understand the code by yourselves, else you are not a good programmer (there is 0 documentation, if you are wondering there will be some notes in version control software you are wrong. There is no version control, the software is only installed so the COO can say "look. we have version control). A much heart warming act is, PS will go find those skillful senior programmer that have worked more than 2 years in the company to solve their issue, rather than you (a newbie/intern), because they want it to be solve A.S.A.P. (becuase it is 10PM at night). So, before you became experienced with their system, read the code. Those PS will eventually find you when they think you can solve their issue immediately. Don't worry, if they assigned a task that you cannot help them, they will not hesitate to go directly to your senior even your tech lead to get their problem resolved. Seriously, other than good colleagues with nice CEO and CTO, I really cannot think of what else worth to mention in this company, Pool Table? You will able to bring your laptop with you, maybe sometimes you still need that to finish up the document/checking email when you back in your house over the weekend. There is also activity monitoring software that they never mention to the newcomers. Advise for programmer, don't compare your salary with PS, after the first performance review, they is 100% chance of them having a higher salary than you. It's normal, just have a ice-cream and forget it.

Cons

If you want to read something about religion stuff others are talking in their review? hmm, most of it are true. But, you still able to climb up the rank, even though you are not christian (it helps), just that you need to have a good image/words from manager in front of COO, it can be skill or good words spread around. End of the day it is all about favoritism. If COO likes you, your appraisal will be smooth. Doesn't matter if you are good at your job, your team mates like you, your juniors respect you. If COO begins to not like you, start looking for another job instead of arguing with him. It's a waste of time. Agile methodology is practiced in the each project differently, but believe me, that is not agile. Agile is to constantly review what has gone wrong, and what can they do better next time. But it changed into water-gile as in Waterfall-Agile blend, they use KanBan, they use everything you need to see when you are talking agile, but, new task can always add in current sprint without removing any. Good luck with your WaAgile. Many industry experts have called it a failure but the smart people here like to make thing hard for no reason. Company will hire a lot of newbie every years, in the meantime, senior level are leaving one by one. Oh, I mean Senior Programmer those with skills. There are still a few damn good coders in the company, maybe that is why the high turnover rate of coders did not yet ring a bell to management as everything is still looks good as long as more money is being made year on year. Version control is just something happen only on the paper, as it did not benefit to PS work or project timelines. Company will not spend money/time on things did not benefit to project timelines or employee satisfaction. A quote by COO himself, "If you want to work on the agreed working hours (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), you can choose to switch to Helpdesk position from current position. You will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as that is the company customer support operating time. But you should only expect a basic salary increament and basic bonus will be granted in yearly performance review. If you still looking forward to be working from agreed working hours with no OT, I can issue the command today, right now." So guys, just continue working. The longer you work everyday, the chances you getting good image in front COO which indirectly lead to your good bonus. Sing praise about him, talk nice things about him even though they are false, and he will reward you. Last but not least, work life "Integration", a great concept is being pushed by Management. Please share your reviews if anyone else is allowed to bring their kids to the work which is work-life integration, other than C level themselves. Family is the most important thing in life, I believe management also sharing this same view. They have no consideration for others time and life, as family will became much more important than work. All your employee should have their personal time back, other than giving it to the OT which caused by bad project timeline management.
