Pros

1. Yang and Alex are relatively flexible I suppose

Cons

1. You don't learn anything 2. You become more of a temp worker because they are so understaff that they just dumb almost anything they can on you even if it's so simple, it'd take them 30 seconds to do it. 3. You don't get clear format instructions or anything so you end up having to keep redoing work that could have been done right if you were told what to do. 4. They do have couple fights and it is really awkward for everyone to see and experience 5. They are a lot of talk but don't actually execute a lot of it. 6. A lot of micromanaging. 7. Their team is really small (why? because it's so hard to communicate to them and actually have them hear you) so you end up doing more grunt work than you actually want to do.

Hi there, I’m sorry to hear that your internship experience of working at JustWears wasn’t positive. "Hire for attitude. Train for aptitude" is the core value at JustWears. We set up this short-term internship program to help undergraduates explore career direction and experience startups' life. We try to tailor the scope of works based on an individual's interest, long term ambitions, and the company's current needs. While most of the interns had great learning experiences during their time at JustWears, we are sorry to hear that you didn't learn anything. This must be frustrating. Clarity and stability are something startups can rarely offer. On this point, I can understand your upset. Now we’ve understood that we look for self-starters with startup hunger, being open, ready, and inspired by change, we've made it more clear at the interview stage. Thank you for helping us improve better. As a young startup, in just under 2.5 years, we have achieved significant milestones with a small team. We wouldn't get here if without everyone's commitment, strong execution, and collaboration. For that, we always hold our sincerest appreciation to our team, who talk a lot, but do a lot too. ❤️ We believe feedback and transparency are the only possible way to make a change - we can’t overcome them if not surfacing issues. That's why it is important t ous to have regular 121 feedback reviews. I’m disappointed that none of this was raised during your time at JustWears when we might have been able to learn more from this. Fundamentally, running a business we will have to make the best decision on whom to work with. We understand it could be harsh and emotional to terminate an internship earlier than your plan. We heard your feedback and will continuously work on making JustWears the best working place for the right fit. I'd be very open in discussing any of this with you in person - please feel free to reach out to me directly, the door is always open. Yang

Pros

Working at Just Wears was a great experience for me. It's a small team and Co-founders Alex and Yang really make you feel at home there right from the start. With any startup, there's a ton of work to do always, but no one ever seems stressed out or in a rush. Not once while I was there was I pressured to hurry up on my work. Everyone is focused on what they have to do and as long as you're taking that work seriously Alex and Yang will be two of the most understanding bosses you've ever had. I've asked to come in late, leave early, or take a day off for a long travel weekend and never once had a problem from them. If you're capable and respect how much work they put into the company, they'll respect you and your needs. The small nature of the company allows for lots of learning opportunities in every aspect of the business. I focused primarily on the logistics side of things, but by my interactions with the co-founders (Who are both very knowledgeable) and other employees, I learned a ton about running a business in general. Everyone there is happy to explain to you what they're doing and teach you if you need help. In short, If you work hard and want to be treated like a human being, this is a great company to work for.

Cons

Sometimes people can be stretched too thin
