The only good thing about working at Justin Brands was the people I worked with. Good, hardworking folks who gave it everything they had day in and day out. They never got the credit they deserved, but they kept the wheels turning.

The top brass flat-out ruined this place. The CEO and CFO had no business running a boot company. They killed one brand and were well on their way to killing another when I walked away. Morale was shot because they were rigid, negative, and couldn’t communicate to save their lives. One day they’d say go left, the next day it was right. never a straight answer. The pay was lousy (well below market) and not near enough to raise a family on. Then they jacked up the benefits so high my family couldn’t even afford coverage anymore. Every decision out of the front office seemed to hurt the folks actually doing the work.
