Pros

- Great idea and business outlook. Healthcare is a hard industry but we all believe in our solution to a very real problem... and the power of that solution to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable patients - Super values/mission driven team that's really close-knit. Every day during standup we share gratitudes that relate back to company values. Lots of company off-sites and events to build real community - Karuna takes feedback very seriously. When you're doing something well, people tell you; when you're not, they work with you to improve with a focus on kindness and growth rather than blame and criticism - The leadership works hard to be transparent about company decisions, both big and small - There's a lot of opportunity for growth career-wise - Generous with equity and benefits for a seed-stage company - Fantastic set of advisors and investors

Cons

The cons are most just those that come along with working at any startup: - Base salary is only really market (we could all probably be making more elsewhere) - Lots of change and pivots as we learn and growth (which can be fun or disorienting depending on who you are

Pros

Karuna is made up of a highly talented and capable group of people passionate about a shared vision to positively impact the lives of patients. The team works hard to support each other and practices every day the values preached. Karuna encourages each team member to be transparent about feedback and responsive to change as they learn and grow.

Cons

As a young startup, Karuna is still learning how to scale several parts of its business.

Pros

- mission - transparency - talented co-workers - tech stack is awesome / really advanced - super flexible hours, WFH, and vacation policy - lots of time with actual customers and patients to see the product in action - access to investors like First Round Capital, Founder Collective, Lerer Hippeau, and Slow (early backers of Uber, Oscar Health, PillPack, Warby Parker, etc.)

Cons

- the downside of having a lot of ownership, agency, and impact as an individual contributor is that there can be quite a lot of pressure sometimes. every person on the team is doing work that's critical to the company's success / impact / mission, so there can definitely be long hours and stressful sprints
