Pros
They seem to be making money (for now). If you're in sales you'll probably have a great time. You're the only department that sees any bonuses, any attention or is deemed to have any worth to the company.
Cons
Lack of transparency from the executives. If you ask "tough" questions of them they'll either fire you, or, redirect you to your manager. If the CEO of the company doesn't know the answer to some aspect of the operation of the company, then middle managers are definitely not going to know. The executives play the employees for fools. They think that people can't see through their waffling and sometimes just outright incorrect statements. They don't know what it takes to run a technology company. They say it themselves multiple times, they are a sales company. They don't seem to know or care about what goes into making a successful technology organisation or what makes engineers tick. They just want to have the next thing to sell. They don't care about support or engineering. Thousands of sales people will be flown from all over the world to Florida for week long sales meetings. But engineering can't get a few hundred dollars to have an in-person meet up.
