Cons
Kate’s Real Food (AKA Tram Bar) had me source and purchase props and supplies for the work I did for them, drive 1.5 hours round trip for an assignment location, demanded rush turnaround, texted me often for updates, gushed and raved about the work I produced, insisted ours would be an ongoing partnership with more work to come, shared the visuals I produced for them in online ads, on Amazon and likely other online retailers, as well as on multiple social media accounts. Nearly one year later they have yet to pay me for my work, or reimburse me for the items I purchased (which were included in my invoice). I haven’t received One. Single. Cent. In nearly two decades of being in business I have never had another single individual or company not follow through with payment for work they sought out. I have a hard time believing the amount they owe me is more than a drop in the bucket to them. For me however it is critical while I work to rebuild my business after relocation. I gave priority to Kate’s Real Food, jeopardizing relationships with other companies while I put them first, losing precious time with family to accommodate their immediate needs. I feel sick every time I think about how they stole from me. I regret ever having answered their first inquiry for my services.
