Pros

health benefits, that is it

Cons

The owner and upper management have no clue, every single month the owner comes in and for a week sit in meetings only to implement yet another failed plan of action. They have no clue how to manage, no training its a sink or swim mentality and upper management will not back you up. They hired a president 10 months later fired. Tenure people stick around as this is all they know, new people come in and are shocked. The owner is looking to sell so who knows where they will be in the next year or so. If you can avoid this place would be in your best interest.

Pros

Health Insurance Location Casual Attire when working at the office

Cons

No Core Values Reactive Environment- No Solid Strategic Planning PTO is only accrued AFTER 6 months of employment for all employees, including Supervisors, Managers & Senior Managers. Senior Managers finger point and Department blame/shame amongst each other. This trickles down throughout employees. Employee insecurity due to very little Senior Management communication. Zero work, life balance if you are salaried or have to travel. No travel time compensation. If you attend Customer Site Visits, Sales Representative Visits, Trade-shows or any kind of travel, which is mostly over the weekend and in excess of 50 hours, you are required to be at the office on the next business day, or you can use your own PTO day (but only after 6 months if newly employed). You’ll hear that they “want new ideas & processes”, but you’ll also hear, “we just aren’t there yet” or “we’ve tried that in the past and.....” There is no upward growth within this company. Their website is dated with very little current information. Very, very little community outreach or participation in the many charities that Jacksonville has; especially when you consider their products (lighting & home decor). There is no overall joy or pride within this company.
