Pros

Commission is good if you make a sale

Cons

2 times a week you have to drive to Philadelphia or Harrisburg for pointless sales meetings. No millage reburstment. They say in the interview you need to close at 33% and you will get at least 6 or more appointments a week and you should sell. They say that at 9pm the night before you will get your appointments for the next day. Which is a lie you will get a phone call in the morning or the middle of the day or night to drive 2 hours. And they only give you 2 to 3 appointments a week. And you only get paid when you sell. I know people that work in other companies like them and they run at least 9 appointment a week and sale at least 3 to 5 that stick. Kitchen saver will set you up to fail. None of the customers is pre qualified. You get someone to buy and then the bank turns them down. So not only do you drive 2hrs away from your home but spend 4 to 6 hours in someone's house hoping you sell them. Because you need gas and toll money which can add up to 100 plus dollars a day not including your Bill's . If you want to get into this business go to Sears, home depot, kitchen magic. This places makes you sign a contract which means you can't work for anyone that would be competitive with them or there other companies like bath fitter, homespires, they do bathrooms, windows, doors, kitchen, plumbing. Or you will be sued.

Pros

Pay was good when nothing was wrong with the estimate you gave but something was always wrong.

Cons

Poor communication & training, particularly in errors in estimation. You would never get a documented reason for your job being short & never know what your paycheck will be. Tons of Teams meetings going over the basics with the never ending classes of new reps to replace all the ones who left or were let go for not hitting high closing targets. A complete lack of leads. Instead of 1-2 per day, it was more like 1-2 per week most of the year. Long travel to appointments & no compensation. Terrible job hold issues. Every job goes on hold & you only have 3 business days to fix it with very little information & direct support. You sell something after spending hours in someone's home & then it can be another several hours or days worth of work going back & forth with the customer & the office doing paperwork. They also changed their credit approval system to make more money but it was a huge inconvenience to the rep & customer. If your office has a top salesperson, they will get all the leads while you're there & after you leave.
