Benefits are good. The skill level of the people is amazing, there's no little popes around or politics blocking progress of the company. Even if comms from upper tiers can be improved, I'd say that there is a lot less politics here than all other places I have ever worked. Those who complain about this probably does not have that much experience, because I find the environment here to be very improvement and result driven and less individual agenda oriented. But that is up to whatever the previous experience is. If your previous experience is flat startup with five people of which four are your close friends, yes then it's less politics there. But if you are going to run a company consisting of 2500 engineers there will be levels and there will be some politics. It's like complaining about large free trade agreements having bureaucracy. It is just the nature of how larger orgs have to operate. And you do have to keep in mind that Klarna is a bank. They have to keep a paper trail for things happening in the organisation. With the operating model Klarna has, each unit do have a lot of autonomy in regards to what they want to prioritise and which tech to use which I find very refreshing. Management automatically pushes back against running long hours when having crunch which I appreciate, because then that kind of effort is put in, it is something that is appreciated and not something which is silently already taken into account. All in all a very helpful and friendly environment where people listen to what you have to say and are keen to help out if they can.
