Kodi Connect Response

Thanks for your review. We would like to respond briefly for clarity - especially as this was posted several months after your departure, so it may help you with closure. It is also important to ensure future candidates have an accurate understanding of the environment at Kodi Connect. Training: You received months of one-on-one support from multiple team members. While we don’t have a dedicated training specialist (which is typical for small teams), our training approach -led by those actively doing the job, is often more effective. Everyone learns differently, and our personalized style may not have worked for you. Your previous role was more structured (similar to a call center) so it’s understandable that transitioning to a more autonomous, creative environment may have felt uncomfortable. Multiple people training/helping you may have felt like mixed feedback, but that’s because this role is about dealing with people - we cannot teach certain foundational communication skills. As it wasn’t natural for you, it simply wasn’t the right role - and that’s okay. Nobody needs to be blamed for it not working out. Micromanagement: You were given a high level of independence. More structured guidance was only introduced later, after continued struggles with basic tasks. That’s part of training - it was support, not pressure. We’re confident the entire team would agree: for anyone who’s independent, honest, open to learn and has the basic skill sets required, there is zero micromanagement here. Work/life balance: You listed remote work and flexibility as positives, so it’s unclear how this conflicted with balance. More likely, the stress came from the role not being a fit, rather than from the company’s culture. Feedback: You received regular, constructive feedback and had open access to communicate at any time. And yes - after months of training and support, if someone still isn’t able to perform the basics of the role, we’re left with the difficult decision to part ways. That’s extremely rare. We’re not focused on perfection - we value effort, kindness, positivity, and a willingness to grow. If those traits aren’t consistently showing after three months of probation, followed by additional months of personalized support, it’s fair to agree the role isn’t the right fit. Even then, we gave you plenty of notice and extended additional pay to support your job search - something most companies would not do. We left on good terms, and we hope you remember that. We wish you the best.

Pros

-Amazing team dynamic - from leadership to coworkers, everyone genuinely cares about each other’s success and well-being. -You’re trusted with responsibility and autonomy early- it’s a great place to grow fast if you’re a self-starter, and able to work independently. -The work is exciting and rewarding, especially if you thrive in a fast-paced environment. -The team is extremely supportive, always willing to help out however needed. -Remote flexibility combined with travel makes for a really unique experience!

Cons

-Working remotely can feel isolating at times, regular team check-ins help ease that disconnect. -Because the company moves quickly and best practices evolve, processes aren’t always clearly outlined. You need to be adaptable, proactive in learning new techniques, and willing to ask questions. -Not a traditional 9-5, during peak seasons and events, extra hours and travel are often required.

Pros

Great at first but beware…. SO stressful and really bad management

Cons

Management is horrible. Multiple employees crying from work issues and/or management yelling at them, talking down upon them etc. Overall just a horrible environment to be working in every day. Always on edge. Can never do anything right. Aside from SO many issues in literally every department… save your mental health and don’t work here. Also, editing to add, half of these reviews are fake, written by the same 3-4 people. Seems really ingenuine in my opinion.
