Colleagues and Flexibility are the only pro's! - Recruiter Korn Ferry Employee Review

Pros

Colleagues - great set of people, friendly, professional and of the same mind set. The social aspect is great. Flexibility - I have been given the flexibility to work from home, start later etc.

Cons

Management - lack of leadership, no presence when needed, "yes" men/women with client, not interested in the comments feedback around account/ways of working. Some are aggressive/derogatory to the point their staff have been left crying following 121's. Will openly discuss members of their teams with others including personal circumstances, performance etc. Salary - seem to be plucked out of thin air when people are hired, if you know someone you're starting salary will be higher than those who don't. This a common/ongoing issue across most accounts and when management are approached about a pay rise they practically laugh in your face. 2018 increases not worth mentioning. Bonus - 10% potential ,less than 2% paid. As a highly rated employee I was told my bonus would be low due to a larger account taking most of the "pot" Development - non existent, the only people to be promoted/given opportunities are those who are friends with management.

Pros

I am a consultant through a firm acquired by Korn Ferry and have had a great experience with both the firm (Salo) and with Korn Ferry as a parent company. Great to have benefits and PTO as a consultant and great training and resources available - good communication as well!

Cons

Transitional period during acquisition had a few bumps but nothing major and all ironed out as more time has gone on.

Pros

The client diversity across industries and regions is top notch. Great brand recognition. The marketing investments in Korn Ferry Tour and LA28 paid off. Smart people. Remote work is a plus as 75% people work remotely. No push for facetime in offices. Work from anywhere! Everyone knows of Korn Ferry!

Cons

A culture of long hours and interrupted vacations. Clear demarcation between haves(fee earners) and have nots (execution). High expectations with outdated systems, manual processes, inefficient. Low pay as there are no merits due to market/company performance. Hard to get food at the holiday party so stop at Five Guys prior.
