Pros
The clients are interesting and some of the top brands in the business. Some Senior Partners are truly there to share knowledge and are great to learn form. Others have zero interest and may be looking for an indentured servant. Do you homework before joining because the partner you work with will make a world of difference in your future career and overall experience. It could be great or terrible. There are a lot of resources in terms of research - although you must have the time to do much of your own research. The researchers are limited and have high work loads. Another pro - generous time off.
Cons
I experienced workplace discrimination, harassment, and discrimination. Since this is a company that is suppose to excel at advising other companies, it was surprising. However, the Sr. Client Partners and Execs who bring in the work are "allowed" this behavior and a blind eye is turned since they bring in company revenue. This sense of entitlement, power, and lack of respect for others is what ultimately is the number one con. Additional cons are that there is little room for development beyond the SA role. Most partners are not vested in your career or development beyond that point. You will also work 60 hours a week. There is high turnover - in part because they don't give raises and a change in bonus structure is promised every year but doesn't happen.
