Pros
The lack of leadership, oversight, and vision gives you defacto autonomy Good for people who throve on pointless busy work or doing pseudoscientific "research"
Cons
The president of the institute was beyond useless. In five years I still can't figure out what he actually contributes. There is a bloated "leadership" team in the institute, however this is little more than a clique of ladder climbers with no actual vision or utility. Frequently expected to work over 12 hour days, sometimes I had been ORDERED to work over 24 hours by a person who was then promoted to the leadership team, presumably because her only skill was taking credit for the work of others. ZERO job security. ZERO cost of living increases. NO accountability by the leadership of the company or the institue. This is ironic for a company that posits itself as experts on leadership. Cliques and politicking are more important than talent. There is a lot of data but it's mostly useless.
