L'Occitane Response
6yHi there,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. We have changed our training model in the last year or so to ensure that our customer is at the heart of everything we do as opposed to a product, and have retrained all of our retail teams to have this customer centric approach.
All of our product testing is done on real skin (never animals) and is trailed on varying sized groups ranging from small groups to large scale groups of over 100 depending on the required skin types. Although we sell in China we are 100% cruelty free as L'Occitane NEVER tests on animals! The Chinese government have the ability to test products should they choose to but this is done at random and therefore products can go untested on animals even when being sold in the country. We have been working with the country for a number of years to show them alternative ways of product testing and we are making great headway with this!
I hope this goes to answer some of your concerns. Thanks again!
