Too short-staffed to hire decent people - DSP LADD Employee Review

I like working here. My manager is great. She is awesome and I like leadership. They are hands off but show up quarterly and follow through. ‘Preciate that. The best part are the people we serve. Super interesting, quirky and fun. I have a blast most days. It doesn’t feel hard.

Doing notes at the end of my shift is not my favorite. Also, all this waste fraud and abuse talk in the media about our industry is annoying since we care so much.

Like many mission-driven nonprofit organizations, resources can occasionally feel stretched, which may lead to heavier workloads during busy periods. The work itself can also be emotionally demanding at times, given the level of care and support provided to clients. Additionally, as the organization continues to grow, some processes and communication structures are still evolving, which can create occasional inefficiencies. However, leadership is aware of these challenges and is actively working to improve systems and support for staff.
