Pros

Occasionally a department within the building will sponsor a holiday cookout for staff. Some employees are very congenial and you can build somewhat of a work friendship.

Cons

General Accounting staff is in constant resignation mode. No life/work balance for most especially during month-end close. Lack of experienced staff in key areas. Several managers in FSC are total jerks and will stab in back in a heartbeat. Supervisors who have never been in a supervisory role before lack adequate training to be effective in their duties. A couple of individuals in regional positions make life miserable for those who cover their areas at the Nashville office. Health insurance benefits could be substantially improved. PTO is not comparable to other international companies this size. Most of A/P department outsourced to India. Other departments knew this was happening before the A/P personnel were told they would be losing their jobs. IT staff lacks communication skills when it comes to notifying other departments of system changes. IT uses an enterprise solution for network protection which drags the network to a crawl at times, especially during month-end processing. You must do your own investigating when it comes to issues LKQ supports. The company has an agenda and it is to your benefit to find out more before supporting it. The bottom line is money and how much can be made at the expense of the employees.

Pros

Pay is decent for those of us who have built a large enough customer base over the years.

Cons

Commission rate cuts the last five consecutive years. No path for advancement. Poor management. Since 2021, every change they have made that I have seen is designed to keep the stock price as high as possible - which has been stagnant for 10+ years. Customers and employees come last.
