Pros
Lkq has great health care plans and other benefits. It wasn't too expensive either. I took advantage of the great match plan they offered. Its such a large company there is potential to move around if you need/want to. Its a big name in the Automotive Industry so it looks good on your resume I guess. Depending on the position you held. My position was pretty easy but I had a lot of responsibilities and boy did they need to trust me. There were bad days but the good ones out weighed it. I enjoyed what I did very much most of the time.
Cons
Working there is like being a little fish in a big pond. I really have to question the morality of this organization and its higher management group. I was promised a bonus I never received. I worked hard to get that bonus too. Management was completely disconnected Although I have to admit sometimes that was a pro but there was a feeling of being unnoticed, unwanted, unappreciated, and definitely disposable. Salaries and wages suck through out most positions within the company not just mine. If your a person that needs consistency you will suffer. There are always changes that sometimes makes no sense at all but to make work more difficult or stressful. Most employees have more negative things to say about their employment there than positive things. Depressing if you ask me.
