      Gaslighting when made redundant - Account Manager LOFT Employee Review

      Avoid this company if you want stability, I was made redundant last year. Despite the company senior management explaining that the company’s financial performance is plummeting and they are not meeting wider goals by end of year and will therefore have to make redundancy. The same day they told me I was one of the staff being made redundant to my shock in my formal letter it claimed it was due to my personal performance. This contradicted what they said earlier that day as I was under the impression my personal performance was satisfactory. Be aware of this company as they like to twist the truth and will not admit they are not performing well.

      Pros

      Depending on the people you work with the job is manageable and can be easy to do.

      Cons

      Can be understaffed which puts workload on current team members. Higher ups are not your friends or have your back. Corporate is very customer first but to the extent that the team isn't always respected. Pay is not a living wage.

      Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We've invested heavily over the last 2 years in our systems and infrastructure. We're not too sure what you mean by "corporate" this in't a term we use within LOFT uk. As an employer we do pay above "real" living wage which is actually more than "national" living wage. We always try to be inclusive and supportive of all our staff, however within any business you may not be "friends" with all your colleagues.
