Pros
High profile arts clients, beautiful office. If you land in the right department, you may be rewarded. As of this writing, good benefits are still in place, such as summer Fridays and the week off between Christmas and New Year's. Leaving out top management, the staff is for the most part a really smart and nice group of people.
Cons
Ego-driven management refuses to acknowledge systemic problems. The appearance of work is rewarded more than actual work, and there is zero accountability. The Managing Director plays favorites and cannot handle differences of opinion. There is no such thing as confidentiality here, so be careful. LaPlaca Cohen was once a great place to work, and very low turnover was the proof. Now the company is bleeding employees; five have left in the first half of 2016 alone. Word to the wise: negotiate the biggest salary you can up front, because raises are not forthcoming, and neither are promotions.
