Pros

* The facilities themselves are quite nice, think on-site cafe, gym (under construction), clean, safe * Good management of software, hardware, and general IT maintenance. * Working remotely is a breeze -- good VPN * Most of your coworkers are friendly and willing to help. You can Skype someone you don't know and they will still do their best to assist. * Fun employee events * I hear full-time employees get good benefits

Cons

* Almost half of employees are contractors that will never be hired on and are laid off as soon as work slows down * Seriously, do NOT be a contractor for Lam, it isn't worth it and the staffing agency they use is terrible. * Huge office politics in every department. Any nail sticking up with be hammered down.

Pros

Good pay with decent benefits.

Cons

Highly toxic in certain (not all) business units. Directors and above held to far lower standards than employees. I received a lot of abuse from my manager and when I reacted, she used it against me over the course of five years, resulting in my launching an ER investigation upon which resulted in my termination. (They weren't even adult enough to tell me I was being fired; I found out by accident when I received a termination paycheck). Would love to recommend, but would never recommend Lam based on the treatment I got from my entire leadership chain over a five year period. PS, pretty sure retaliation of this nature is against the law; looking into it.
