Pros

I worked at my previous company, which has been remote for several years. They did an excellent job balancing a great work environment with work-life balance. The benefits were impressive, with salary reviews twice a year, two annual bonuses, and excellent health insurance. It was a great place to work.

Cons

I struggled to find any cons during my time at this company, which speaks to its overall positive work environment.

Pros

Every employee has a real stake in what work we're doing, how to best approach our work and clients, and how the company operates. I really like the approach of having "no bosses", but instead having coaches and mentors who can help you achieve your professional goals. It's a small company so you have a very direct impact, we're actively involved in creating company policy, best practices, and influencing professional development and goals. Compensation and benefits are good, and overall package is more in line with larger companies despite its size (401k match, Healthcare plans, education, diversity and inclusion, etc). I'm also trusted to know how to do my job, no micromanagement. It's a fully remote role, so LCM has gotten really good at virtual collaboration.

Cons

I think the only downside is that as the company grows it's hitting some of the growing pains of any company establishing its norms. The "no bosses" concept also has a downside in that potential employees seem confused that there is no career progression or development, but that's not the case.
