Pros
This is a unique environment to work in, with opportunities to grow at every turn. Some of the best parts of working at LNP are: - The mission, and the dedication the team has to that mission - The opportunity to engage with an incredible membership base, hear from current and former elected officials, etc. - Work/Life blend, as a parent this is critical for me - Be a part of building something impactful, using my business skills in a non-profit setting
Cons
The fast-paced nature of our organization can be challenging sometimes, and as a small team working on sensitive issues there are certainly bottlenecks in our systems and processes. I've been able to be a part of building systems that overcome these and look forward to continuing to do that important work in my role. - Over my time there has been a need to reorganize and build the right structure in order to build efficiency and empowerment for the team. I feel confident we're heading in the right direction here. - We are a hyper-remote team, which makes it hard to feel connected to your teammates sometimes. The best is when we get together ~2 times per year. - This can be a tough environment for individuals who haven't had experience in a startup company, as it requires strong adaptability/ability to function in an ambiguous environment, and skills in managing up.
