If you even dare to stand up to management, your career is over. It never used to be like that. The academy used to welcome voices of dissent. And if you are from the BAME community, forget about advancing your career - there is a shocking lack of diversity across the university. Such a shame that a once-proud institution with a Catholic heritage has been taken over by power-hungry micro-managers, who don't care about their students.
