Pros
Liberty Moving is a family-owned business going on for 85 years, which attracted me to the position and was the direct opposite of a corporate-style company that I came from. The company started with 1 truck and has become the largest mover in the northeast for the world's 2 premier vanlines (United and Mayflower). I manage an award-winning sales team. My team is in charge of finding leads, vetting the lead at the top of the funnel, qualifying the leads, assigning an estimator to the lead, providing a moving consultation, booking the move, and so on. I have a great team that enjoys working with each other, providing support to each other, and making a direct difference in each other's performance and view of company culture. The owner rewards success and is willing to support you in many different ways to make you successful. In addition, the company is great at listening and taking feedback, it is well known that they want to hear your opinion. They have a saying, "Don't tell me what I want to hear, tell me what I need to hear". You are safely able to discuss any topic without it becoming a negative conversation, the attitude and culture from the top to bottom is very positive. The majority of employees have 5-30 years of tenure. People enjoy building a career and lifestyle at Liberty. I am going on 3 years and can easily see the path to 5-30 years. The company is growing yearly and it is a very fun place to be part of, to see the success, to be part of the success, and make a difference.
Cons
No cons. At most jobs, employees "insert their own definition" when they are unaware of the answer. To make employees feel informed and part of Liberty's growth, the company recently implemented a town hall meeting to allow all employees a platform to be aware of the latest "everything" at liberty.
