Good pay, fantastic recruitment process, quick decision, very approachable business during the recruitment process. Some managers were supportive. Good external training process, although very basic and a bit condescending for experienced managers
Cons
Once your in the door that’s it.. any challenges you have are dismissed. I store Training is poor, with training SM having no interest. You get put on holidays or told not to come to work when store is over it’s wage budget, even against your will. No support from area manager when you challenge things. Doing same shifts that others don’t want to do, being a mug! And told that work comes before any family commitments, and Lidl don’t do flexibility.. what the RDC believe is changing in the business truly isn’t at store level. Biggest mistake.. retail has moved on in the last decade, Lidl thinks it is too, but it’s not!
