Pros

CNA were genuine and caring! They become like family. The RNs, payroll, customer service and many on the sale team were nice to work with.

Cons

- management deceptive (even to each other) while using office staff to hide the deception. - management manipulates staff into seeing their coworkers as a negative - management lacks emotional intelligence - management was chaotic - arbitrary titles given to the management’s “friends” - manipulate cna’s into working beyond their legal trine limit ( literally had cna’s work 3 12 hour shifts back to back with different clients (meaning they did not get the required rest to be alert for the next client) - set up caregivers to work more than what they agreed to (ex: cna signed up to work a 12 hour shift with a client who required 24 hour care knowing that there was no one to relieve them in the morning. Cna’s have lives, children, other obligations and should not be used that way.) - shorted CNA’s in their pay and instead of paying cna’s their outstanding balance. - forced CNA’s to return to clients that were mentally and abusive and to houses that were completely filthy. (CNAs are not housekeepers) - due to management not seeing eye to eye, coordinators were left with managing more. - I talk to former employees. Collectively, after leaving this company, our mental/physical well-being has improved drastically.

Pros

I'll admit that I have more unique role in the agency that allows me flexibility to move between the two (currently) offices and work with the entire team, but I could not ask for a better group of coworkers or a more supportive group of managers. In a competitive marketplace, Lifematters' executives are constantly striving to find ways to better serve our clients and grow our business so that we're poised to continue as leaders in the home care (and beyond) space. I feel that it's a very exciting time to be with this organization and I'm excited for the future.

Cons

As we any growing company, there are challenges. Sometimes team building efforts can suffer at the expense of corporate initiatives, but Scott, our CEO, always has culture top of mind, and makes great efforts to make his team feel like family.
