Pros
Regardless of their passion for wine / formal training, people at all levels of the hierarchy are approachable and friendly. Not only does this make Liv-Ex a pleasant environment, but it drives efficiencies in ways of working. Getting instant, honest feedback on ideas/proofs of concept makes it easy to iterate and improve existing builds. I appreciated the opportunity of building a role into what I personally thought it should be. I appreciated the work/life balance.
Cons
Data as a department is under-represented at the executive level. As a result, one might have to perform tasks / carry out projects that one does not believe in. The 'telling' style of management is dissonant with the fundamental mission of an Insights department. Not the end of the world.
