Pros

The core product ideas are fantastic, visionary even. Employees are qualified, smart individuals.

Cons

The company can't seem to decide where it's going. Morale is not great, lots of turnover including core people being pushed out, others randomly fired, and a good number of people just quitting. Everyone else has a backup plan in mind for when their moment comes. The pay is 30% less than market rate, which we are supposed to be proud of (something something dedication). The management can't agree with itself. It's not just "the left hand not knowing what the right is doing" but "the right hand and the left hand openly distrust and overrule eachother, while the left foot kicks the right shin". All the good ideas and energy seem to cancel out due to a lack of coherence within the company. Uncertainty and changing goals from the top down sabotage people's hard work and the management doesn't hold itself accountable for any of it. Some of the management is verbally abusive towards employees. No one seems to say anything about it, likely raising a complaint about it would get them fired.

Pros

Good compensation Work/life balance Interesting products Decent home office equipment Remote Great pay if you are looking for a short gig while seeking other opportunities

Cons

I was employed for approximately 4 months when leadership laid off nearly half of the company from various departments. All impacted by the layoffs were herded into a video meeting and provided very little details regarding the layoffs. The company has re-branded their name so many times it's hard to keep track of which company is still operating. Lack of job security and transparency. They seem to hire based upon potential "deals" which tend to fall through.
