Pros
Great place to learn and grow; very likable ownership group; great office and cool perks (summer hours, hybrid-remote work, dog-friendly office); fun, smart, passionate people.
In response to some of the negative reviews, I'll say this: LoSasso is NOT for everyone. If you're looking to clock into a 9-5 for a very specific job, within the tightly-defined hierarchy of a larger organization, this is not the place for you. If you have previously enjoyed or like the idea of a startup-like atmosphere—where you carve your own path and create your own success—LoSasso is the place. Like most things in life, you get out what you put in. Leadership rewards hard work, passion and proactive problem-solving. As a result, those who are sharp and ambitious will learn and accomplish a lot during their time at LoSasso through hands-on experience. Sure the hours can sometimes be long and the deadlines tight—but nowhere NEAR what you’ll experience at most large agencies where burnout is more the rule than the exception. In fact, contrary to what some of the earlier reviews mention, turnover at LoSasso has historically been well below the industry average.
Working at any small/mid-sized agency will have its peaks, pitfalls and quirks; but having worked at three different small/mid-size agencies in Chicago over the course of my career, LoSasso was head and shoulders above the others. The ownership group is transparent, down-to-earth, caring and open. I cannot emphasize enough how crucial this is to overall job satisfaction at a smaller agency; if you’ve seen the opposite type of agency owner, you know exactly what I mean.
Cons
Don't expect the household-name clients and big budgets you'll see at the bigger/consumer agencies (besides, not all that glitters is gold)
Like any small agency, resources can sometimes be strapped; that creates opportunities for those who seize them.
