Cons
In defiance of the labor laws of the Chinese government, this school has forbidden any teachers from quitting and getting other jobs. They are illegally refusing to cancel work permits or provide release letters. On several different occasions, they have spread false information about former employees to prevent them from being hired elsewhere. Senior management belittles and threatens employees who try to quit.
The curriculum was made with no thought as to the education development of the students. It is slapdash, full of spelling and grammatical errors, and completely unprofessional. The local teachers are paid starvation wages and forced to lie to parents about their children's performance. They are overworked to the point of tears and are expected to be salespeople as well as teachers.
The senior management will do anything to make sure employees don't leave. They will abuse people over the phone, they will refuse to follow the law even when threatened with labor arbitration, and (as stated before) they will call ahead to other companies and lie that the employee in question was terrible.
I cannot warn against this company strongly enough.
