Terrible work environment; if you are in client services (AE, AM, Implementation), it's a nightmare. Constant change in direction, nothing is documented. Single points of failure all over the company (Ops, IT, Finance, you name it). Antiquated systems; almost no use of AI; it takes months for claims to be paid, so clients will be screaming at you about why members info is wrong on the portal. You can't trust the data that is available because nothing adds up the way it should. As of Oct 2025, people are leaving left and right from client services. The ones who remain are desperately looking to get out.
PTO is a joke; it's unlimited but people are so stressed out about their enormous client loads that they are almost always checking emails at some point during time away. You can never truly unplug. You can never truly get away. And as more people leave, their clients just get dumped on the rest of us.
Sales and brokers are the sacred cows - they can do no wrong and we must cater to their every need. The philosophy here is "we say yes to everything" which means if you are in client services, you are stuck holding the bag when things go wrong.
Also, no career growth or advancement. Everyone is just trying to survive day to day.
Diversity is extremely limited; sales is all a bunch of white guys. C-suite is all a bunch of white guys.
