Pros
- Work with great people. - Very technically capable management. - Huge technical environment. (50k+ servers across the globe) - Lots of different technologies in use. - Reasonable work hours. Good amount of PTO and daily lunch break. - No on call. - The company promotes from within at a rapid pace.
Cons
- The company works to take away perks of working there, in efforts to save money. - The company also ignores known areas of huge and unneeded monetary loss. - The company does not pay fairly when promoting from within. I mean up to ~$20k/yr below external hire. - The workload to staffing ratio is in no way reasonable. - The custom internal tools are extremely outdated. - Hot, new technologies take forever to be implemented, if ever. - The company preaches customer experience, yet focuses on the numbers game. - Lots of tribal knowledge that's not documented.
