      Pay, benefits, paid time off, stable job

      Cons

      Unless you are lucky, there really isn't career mobility within the company. It doesn't help that older workers stick around a long time as well. Inconsistent work at home policy - don't ask don't tell. I feel isolated because all coworkers work in different states and it much harder to collaborate. It is hard to know where the company is headed because I work in a bubble and have no idea what other IT teams are working on or what the company is working on for the future.

      Easy to learn, manageable schedule, supportive management

      Cons

      Changes in systems with many malfunctions, confusing workflows, policies set with little guidance (like figure it out yourself)

      Pros

      The managers are very supportive when it comes to career development and mobility at Lumen.

      Cons

      Lumen has gone through several organizational restructures, which created uncertainty and placed additional responsibilities on frontline employees. While change is sometimes necessary, better planning and communication could help reduce the burden on customer-facing teams and improve the overall employee experience.
