Lumenous provides devices that are the vanguard of the industry. These devices are nothing less than art. They save lives with each piece produced. Salaries are quite good. Company has NEVER had a lay off. Health benefits completely company paid! Retirement and Safe Harbor offerings. New grads get to see things never been done before and be a part of the fabrication of those devices and prototypes. Leadership gives back to community through numerous teaching seminars. This is a unique place in that there is a passion for the work which at times demands that time and effort be paramount for customer satisfaction and company reputation. One must be prepared to work, not just take a paycheck.

This employer gives opportunities to new and recent grads for getting into the really new and groundbreaking biomedical work. Prototyping as well as ongoing projects. There was a clear onboarding process. I learned so much but I didn't realize it at the time. The leadership style is mostly flat so I got to have a say and make decisions right next to the executives and had my own jobs to manage and see through.

My mistake was being a clock watcher and being concerned with superficial environments which need some upgrades. Now I am working in a larger organization and I am lost here. I wish I never left Lumenous because even with the small close work areas, I was able to see things I'll never see here.
