Pros

Free out of date products The smell Getting to dress up and wear lots of glitter The discount Getting paid to play with bubbles and bath bombs The pay

Cons

Very cliquey, I was on the same contracted hours as a couple of others and was given half the hours every week, where as they got a lot more, as I wasn't in the right friendship group. I'm not a flamboyant kind of person, I was constantly taken out the back and told off for not being overly bubbly. Being spoken to like a child by colleagues and management. The sales techniques are too full on, many customers would shout at you because they wanted to be left alone. A few customers spoke to me about how nice it was to talk to someone who wasn't shoving products down their throats.. and then a few minutes later I'd be taken out the back by a supervisor and told I didn't do a good enough job. Constantly nagged to sing and dance in the shop, I never sing in front of anyone! Let alone at work. On my second to last shift I was told to study some ingredients. I pointed out I was leaving, and was told if you don't study these ingredients then I will send you home unpaid and don't bother coming in tomorrow. Still having issues with payroll and I left a while ago!

Pros

Discounts, we got 50% off of most items

Cons

Unhygienic, stressful, money hungry, fear monger. Unprofessional managers both as an employee and customer. Never experienced such low life conditions, manager brought in animal multiple times in store, and made staff clean its pee. Customers were floored, inexcusable and HR is unresponsive. The bathroom is disgusting, and inaccessible. I cannot imagine any one with a physical disability being able to use the restroom. It was so difficult to suck in your stomach, then trip on box after box. They BLOCK the fridge and made us put our food in our tiny lockers. Manager is too comfortable with the amount of time spent within the company to ever fear facing any consequences or repercussions. Even fired staff in the past for contacting HR for help.
