Pros
-Good connections with customers, being able to write off an item as an act of kindness for someone if they're having a bad day. -Bonus Pay -50% discount -Taking home free items -can be a fun work environment, more lax than most retail in some ways
Cons
-green washing -company seems like they would prioritize their employees or the customers over money but they don't hold up to that -even if you've worked here for years it is so hard to move up to a management position unless you are as money hungry as the hire ups :) -promised a reevaluation of company wide pay according to cost of living but they dropped the ball and blamed the shops for our sales being low instead of taking accountability for the fact that they don't use social media anymore to promote products therefore preventing us from driving sales properly and effectively -had a horrible manager and when they were reported by almost my whole team lush did not terminate them, but instead basically made it obvious that someone or the whole team reported them so they retaliated by lying to us and being even worse until they eventually quit of their own accord -sales tactics are so extra sometimes and scare off customers because of the constant expectation to be by their side at all times to force (sorry- *encourage*) sales -such a catty work environment in so many ways -favoritism and prioritization of bigger shops which is understandable but not to the severe degree that they have -idek so many more cons but can't think of more right now
