Pros

LuxSci has been around for decades and has moved from a slow-but-steady to a higher-growth mode. The employees are a collection of interesting, quirky, laid-back, smart individuals with whom it is fun to collaborate. Management really cares about everyone, they provide: * Internal training to guide employees in their career growth and to help them grow into roles ideally suited to them * Makes team and culture development one of its three strategic aims, as they know how important the people are to company success.

Cons

100% remote work can be a struggle for some who are used to the vibe of an in person-environment; however, LuxSci tasks steps here having virtual happy hours, requiring everyone to show their faces on Zoom, having in-person outdoor get-togethers, etc. And anyway, most people enjoy not committing and not having people constantly interrupting them by popping in the office door for a chat.

Pros

Besides excellent compensation and benefits, LuxSci offers a remote work environment that not only provides a strong communication framework for our customers; it also provides the same strong communication framework for employees; everyone can communicate with each other easily. We also have company and team meetings regularly and training. There is potential for growth and advancement. And the team has excellent camaraderie. Just a comment on the Work/Life balance.... Yes -the remote office absolutely improves that balance, because you save all that time (and frustration) that you would be driving in traffic to work - and get back whatever amount of time that would be. For me it was about 2+ hours per day. That's 10 more hours per week. About 40 hours month. Over 400 hours per year. That's pretty darn good. I love it.

Cons

I really have nothing to say here, because working at LuxSci has been not only a learning experience but also fun.
