Pros

So if you wanna work hard and make money WHEN shifts are available MAS schedulers WILL make sure that happens. Its a pro for sure but a pro with no boundaries. I worked overnights at a regularly understaffed facility. The morning relief would either be a blank shift (no one from the home staff was scheduled and none of us agency had picked it up), a call out, hours late or my fav a no call no show. I always was promted to stay into the day and pick up extra hours when they'd call some one in and they didnt wanna split the day 12 and 12 so it was often 16 and 8. Great money, better overtime no sleep, no sleep, no personal/mental health time .

Cons

When a facility hires house staff you can go from 60+ hours a week to 0. NO warning, no conversation. To be cleared you are not fired but regardless of bookings a month out house staff has preface and MAS can not/will not be able to do anything about it. So no shifts means no money and thats that. And it could happen after 2 years at a facility, or the week of Christmas when you had overtime to make ends meet. Any time.. Anywhere..
