Pros

I've worked here for 5 years and I really held high hopes for our future. Fortunately Quest Diagnostics acquired Med Fusion and it's likely that (as they have in the past) they will drop kick the current weak and incompetent mid management staff and either provide replacements. So while the already nervous staff panics and continues to produce the suboptimal results that got them devoured in this acquisition, hopefully they will begin to accept they only have themselves to blame for their current situation.

Cons

Very reactive mid management culture that is always chasing problems instead of avoiding them. So many decisions are made out of emotion rather than data, facts, and logic. More than any company I've ever seen, there are so many people who think they are in charge of everything but aren't actually. Lots of poor communication and easily hurt feelings turn into meetings and generic talk. So many of the poor performers are acting out of a panic to try and make themselves look so much more valuable than they are it made it too much to handle. So, I left and went to work for Quest now instead of waiting.

Pros

beautiful workspaces, plenty of room, great breakroom, kind and helpful coworkers, centrally located in the metroplex, mostly young staff.

Cons

Average/below average compensation based on experience. (I worked for a highly recognizable and well thought of lab previously, and MF had the audacity to offer me $1/hr less than I was making there.) I went on to be one of the only tech's to receive a 5 star annual review. Management constrained by lack of funds for developing higher-end LDT's. There are a few people doing the majority of the work and lots of other sitting around. Business/Clinical areas co-mingle, creating a "carpet vs tile" mentality rather than working together for good. The LIS is absolute garbage. MF should invest in a custom design or throw out what they are using immediately and shop for a better "out of the box" option.
